About Us
We Are Taylor & Lindsey
Our passion for gathering people together began while we were both in college at Abilene Christian University working in event-planning related jobs. We have had the opportunity to organize concerts featuring headliners such as "Aaron Watson" and "Surfaces," manage corporate events and professional development conferences, as well as plan/coordinate weddings, engagement, and bachelorette parties.
With a combined 7 years of experience in multiple industries, we came together to reimagine the event planning process and created The Gathered Co.
Our hope is that you utilize the resources we have available to become the host that you've always dreamed of being. Your event should reflect your unique style and vision and that is something we encourage you to pull off.
The Heart Behind the Name
In Matthew 18:20, it states, "For where two or more are gathered in my name, there am I among them." This verse has been the cornerstone of our business, guiding the products and services we offer. As you transition into the role of event planner, it's easy for the initial purpose to get lost in the process, as both of us have experienced.
The event planning industry (specifically weddings!) is saturated with comparison, rising costs, and an overwhelming level of stress to plan the perfect day. Our goal is to offer you encouragement to keep going, help you stay within budget, and ultimately, when your event has come to an end, give the glory to The Creator who made you fearfully and wonderfully.
